It has taken almost a week to get settled in at our apartment in Logan, Utah. Our oldest daughter Stephanie and her two boys Layne, age 7 and Wieland, age 5 are also along on the trip. We were glad to have Steph help drive and the boys are a most enjoyable addition to any expedition.
We are staying in the apartment complex we stayed in 5 years ago.
Since our arrival on Tuesday, we have hiked the Limber pine trail and had a picnic lunch at Tony Grove Lake which is an alpine lake up Logan Canyon.
We travelled down to North Ogden to my favorite Army Navy store and the boys had a blast.
This week we meet with an engineer from Cache County who is to advise us on what we need to do to obtain a building permit for our lot in Avon. A complication has arisen after the county mandated a geological overlay which describes our lot in a landslide area. We are now in a position where we must underwrite a geo-engineering study to validate the state's claims.
We leave Utah on Sunday for a week long mission trip in Oregon. We have been going to the Warm Springs Indian Reservation for the past  7 years and have made many friends there.
Steph and the boys leave for home Wednesday and it will be very quiet here. I think I prefer the  commotion and joy of their company.
